Ann Jefferies (my wife)

This is a small sample of the photos in our old family album, going back many years. Many of the photos are scanned from old prints or transparencies (slides). Due to the age and deterioration of some the prints and transparencies, image quality may be rather poor in some cases.

My wife, Ann, 2nd from left front corner, at Cyril Jackson Senior High School, Bassendean, W.A.

The Picks family lived in an old shop home on the corner of Whatley Crescent in Maylands where Caledonian Ave crossed

the railway line, which was often the scene for vehicle accidents. We (the Jefferies family) lived next door and ran a firewood yard.

The Five Love Languages

How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate

If you express love in a way your spouse doesn’t understand, he or she won’t realise you’ve expressed your love at all. The problem is that you’re speaking two different love languages. With help from Gary Chapman, identify and then learn how to speak your spouses love language.

I just loved the seventies - all those hot pants, jump suits and mini skirts (on the girls I mean).

No one has ever asked me why I married Ann - pretty obvious, very pretty obvious.

"Congratulations on producing an issue rich in substance. It is real. Christian Woman is attracting both writers and subjects, which offer both godly instruction and hope. Well done." Joy Graetz, Rochedale, QLD

"I received the March/April edition of the magazine today and I am really impressed. I can’t put my finger on what is different, but it certainly has a really professional feel to it, and I thought the content was excellent. Well done! I hope it gets the circulation it deserves. Dragons of the Deep:

Ocean monsters past and present

Sixteen spectacular sea giants, including the best candidate for Leviathan, feature

in this stunningly illustrated book. Mighty predators like Liopleurodon, and the lesser-known sea serpent Styxosaurus probably inspired tales of sea dragons before they became extinct; the whale-wrestling colossal squid was thought to be mythical until its recent live discovery. Fantastic creatures and fascinating facts impart a thoroughly biblical worldview.

Body By Design

Defines the basic anatomy and physiology in each of 11 body systems

from a creational viewpoint. Every chapter examines different organs

and structures giving evidence for theistic design. Focus sections that

highlight the interwoven complexity between the body systems are also

included. Students are challenged to think through the evidence—the

facts as we know them today—and to consider the statistical likelihood

of macroevolution. The end result is an effective, interwoven presentation

of anatomy, physiology, and creation.

"For it pleased the Father that in Him* all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight — if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from

the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven."
